There are two types of people in this world. Those who camp during the summer and those who camp during the fall. Some like the heat because it gives them the option to cool off in the river, or lake they might be camping by. Others choose the fall because they can bundle up by the fire and there are fewer bugs ( I am this type.) My whole life it seems like bugs have been out to get me. Sometimes I’ll have dreams about… wait, never mind. No matter when you like to camp there is one thing we all have in common. Food! Everyone has to eat and camping food is THE BEST. Here we give you five of our favorite camping foods to make on your family outing!

We are starting to see cooler weather here in Tahlequah. Here at Tour Tahlequah we obviously love the outdoors. We think about fall and our mind goes to pumpkins, leaves, and colors. There is nothing wrong with that, in fact we love it! Something else we love is camping!! Camping brings people together and allows time for personal connection. Some people are outdoor lovers and some are not. This article is for both! We are so lucky to have camping areas and five star resorts so close to us. Lake Tenkiller offers great options with Resorts such as Terrapin Peak Bed, Breakfast & Beyond. Here you will find cozy cabins with delightful accommodations, and food you will talk about for years! Campgrounds such as Cherokee Landing State Park offer electric hookups and primitive campsites. You can also camp at one of our many public access sites!
