Most people know that Tahlequah Oklahoma is home to the Cherokee Nation. The Nation is one of the main drivers for Tourism here in Tahlequah. People from all over come to see the history and culture of the Cherokees. We have a multitude of museums that tell stories through visual, audio, and interactive experiences. One attraction that is not mentioned as often as the others, is the Spider Gallery. The gallery is located near the heart of downtown Tahlequah in the Cort Mall. You can find artwork in all its unique forms from Cherokee Artists. Purchasing this artwork is a great way to give back to these talented artists and help them continue producing wonderful art.
If you are Cherokee and want to feature your artwork you can follow this link: https://artscenter.cherokee.org/spider-gallery/. If you want to visit the Spider Gallery their hours are Tuesday through Saturday 9-5. Due to the pandemic, these hours can fluctuate so be sure to check their website for updates, etc. We are proud to have the spider gallery to add to the experience of Tahlequah. Visit their website here: https://artscenter.cherokee.org/
