The Tahlequah Rock and Mineral Society's annual show and swap meet attracts rock hounds from throughout the region. Demonstrations will include flint knapping, Oklahoma mines, wire wrapping and primitive tools. The auction is Friday, August 20 at 7 p.m. The event hours are Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. The Tenth Annual Quicksilver Motorcycle Rally and Rodeo is fun whether you're riding a motorcycle or a bull. Bike games, live music, food and a full championship rodeo round out this event.
The rodeo includes barrel racing, bareback riding, steer wrestling, calf roping and other traditional rodeo events. The rodeo begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Mutton Bustin' will be Saturday only at 6:30 p.m.
