Sparrow Hawk Primitive AreaSparrow Hawk Primitive Area Trail is a 3.8 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail that features a river and is rated as moderate. It sports some of the most beautiful views in northeastern Oklahoma. There are several adjoining trails off of the main one.
You need an Oklahoma hunting license, fishing license, or wildlife passport to enter the trail. Overnight camping is not permitted. |
Tenkiller State ParkThe Tenkiller State Park Trail System consists of three 1 to 1.5 mile long hiking trails. Trails range in difficulty from a beginner paved trail to advanced trails featuring rocky overlooks and streams.

J.T. Nickels PreserveThere are three self-guided nature trails at the preserve ranging from .5 to 1.5 miles. The trails showcase some of the most well preserved landscapes in the Ozarks and offer good chances of seeing wildlife including deer, turkey and elk.

Tenkiller Overlook TrailOverlook Trail at Tenkiller Ferry Lake is a 2.2 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Gore, Oklahoma that offers the chance to see wildlife. The trail is good for all skill levels and is primarily used for hiking, trail running, and nature trips. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
